For those of you who don’t know, a content delivery network is a “geographically distributed group of servers which work together to provide fast delivery of internet content”. Blizzard uses one for the transfer of terabytes worth of assets, patches, updates, and other game content for use in their Battle.net game service, as with a number of other online services.
To celebrate World of Warcraft’s 15th anniversary, Blizzard is planning to release an authentic recreation of its early days with WoW Classic. Players will be able to explore Azeroth as it originally was before the release of WoW’s many expansion sets. Initially it’ll feature encounters like Molten Core, Onyxia and Maraudon at launch and will see more content rolled out as the game goes on (such as Alterac Valley, the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort and Naxxramas). It’s not just the world that’s reverting to its classic form either – the combat mechanics, skill trees and character models will be as they were in the original too.
The 8.2 raid has us venturing into Queen Azshara's Eternal Palace and face off against her most powerful minions, so today we'll be taking a stroll through the palace, courtesy of LeysTV. The Queen herself was only recently tested on the PTR, but first let's take a look at the first 7 bosses we'll be facing, as well as the lengthy intro to the raid:

I only subscribed about 2 days ago after coming back to WoW after 6 years. The game has changed so much since I left right around the Cata release. I decided to start fresh on a new server. I still had all my old links and logins to places like Curse, WowInterface, etc. Loaded up all the addons I had favorited years ago (of the maybe 1/3rd that were still maintained). Got to level 20 in a few hours of playing. Had to look a bunch of stuff up.

Patch 8.2, the Rise of Azshara, is coming soon and the Naga play a central role in it, obviously, but it seems they were supposed to play a bigger role a long, long time ago as well. Mark Kern, team lead for Vanilla WoW, recently talked about playable races that were planned for the original game's launch (while playing the Classic beta/stress test, quite appropriately), and that there were initially supposed to be around 20 of them! They quickly realized they had to be more realistic about their content plans so that number went down fast, but apparently Chris Metzen was really disappointed the Naga didn't make the cut.

We have some great news for today's Classic stress test, as Kaiwax has announced that level 10 characters will be able to participate in Warsong Gulch matches! There's going to be some mayhem over in WoW's first battleground (well, tied with AV anyway), as a ton of low level characters will be hanging out in front of the entrance waiting for the queue, just like in the old days.

Analogy: think back on riding the swings in kindergarten. Was it fun? Now, imagine going back to those swings exactly as they were, and sitting in them now, as an adult. They're too small. They don't fit. Your feet drag on the ground because they're so low to the ground. The bar over your head is low enough that you can reach out and touch it, and even at the highest the swing will go, it's only about chest high when you're standing up. It's exactly the same swing, but riding on it now is a very different experience, yes?

This tutorial will ensure that the beginning of your journey will be a smooth one. It provides information that will help you find your way when you get lost, as well as tips that will offer guidance and advice as you march on towards greatness. It is not an exhaustive guide, however; it neither can nor wants to unveil every secret of Azeroth to you. That glorious task is left up to you as you explore the world yourself. Think of this guide as a touchstone for your early adventures: enough to get started, but too little to spoil any of the awesome surprises that await you in Azeroth.
After all the "not a bug" issues that have been reported on the Classic beta, we thought it would be nice to take a look at a more serious report that actually takes some time to take a look at the issues discussed and present some proper evidence and data. Mirayne over on the official forums took time to detail some possible major discrepancies for parry, dodge, block, miss and crit values when facing higher level enemies.
